We use third-party service providers to support functions such as payment processing (Stripe), certified mail printing and delivery (LetterStream), email delivery (Resend), AI-assisted document parsing (Anthropic), database hosting and storage (Supabase), and application hosting (Vercel). Your use of the Service may also be subject to the terms and privacy policies of those providers. See our Privacy Policy for details on how information is shared with each provider.

11. Payments and Fees

All fees are shown in U.S. dollars at checkout. By completing a purchase, you authorize JustOwed to charge the payment method you provide for the applicable fee. Our Refund Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

The flat fee charged by JustOwed is for document generation and letter preparation only. It is not a contingency fee and is not a percentage of any amount recovered. JustOwed does not collect, recover, negotiate, or pursue payment on your behalf.

12. Service Availability

The Service is provided on an “as available” basis. We are not responsible for delays, interruptions, or failures caused by factors outside our reasonable control, including outages or failures of third-party providers.

14. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, JUSTOWED SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

IN NO EVENT SHALL JUSTOWED’S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO JUSTOWED IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

15. Governing Law

To the extent permitted by applicable law, these Terms are governed by the laws of the state in which the operator of the Service is established, without regard to conflict of law principles.
